Side by side
Version A on the left, version B on the right, paragraph next to paragraph. A paragraph that exists on one side only leaves a gap on the other.

Feature 11
What did the revision change? “Compare chapters” puts two versions side by side and shows you exactly.
You open the comparison from the project overview and pick a project and a chapter for version A and version B: two chapters of the same project, or the same chapter in two projects, such as the first draft and its revised copy. When you switch projects the chapter position stays the same, and “Swap sides” reverses the comparison.
Key figures compare words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, average sentence length, distinct words, dialogue share and estimated reading time, each with the difference. “Side by side” shows both texts, optionally with the changes highlighted and paragraph next to paragraph.
“Differences” shows the text once, compared word by word: what was removed in red and struck through, what is new in green and underlined. At a glance you see which sentences were cut, moved or rewritten.
